50 Cent Negotiating $300M Deal With News Corp

50 Cent is reportedly in negotiations with media giant News Corporation for a $300 million deal which will encompass the rapper’s music and various ventures.
According to Thisis50.com, the agreement between 50 Cent and News Corp is projected to be a 10 year deal which will house the G-Unit label under MySpace Records which is owned by News Corp.
Also under the agreement, News Corp will create a new entity to finance and market 50 Cent’s touring and will also help the G-Unit honcho launch a studio to release film and TV projects.
The deal will also include News Corp in 50 Cent’s website(Thisis50.com), his publishing and G-Unit book company.
A major part of deal will be in stock making 50 Cent one of News Corp’s largest shareholders.
If negotiaons go as expected, the deal will be effective in 2009 after 50 Cent and G-Unit release their last projects with Interscope Records.
