Mass Appeal: Dre Day

Back on February 3rd, 2008 the talk of the nation and pretty much the world for that matter was Super Bowl XLII; which featured the undefeated New England Patriots going up against the New York Giants. There’s really no reason to get into the logistics of it all, because over 97.5 Million viewers can tell you what the outcome was.

It took place out in Phoenix, Arizona over at the University Of Phoenix Stadium, and was probably the biggest thing to hit the desert in quite some time. Until seventeen days later when the Phoenix Suns acquired Shaquille O’Neal to their roster, except their season ended in disappointment at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.

But if you think all the excitement in the Grand Canyon State is over with, then check your map again because you’re far from done when it comes to seeing all the beautiful sites Phoenix has to offer.

One of its residents (has since moved to Las Vegas, Nevada) happens to somebody that is well worth fixating your eyes on, especially if you’re a man, and an animal lover. 30-year-old Adrienne “Dre” Coronado resembles the veterinarian that you’d see in a movie or in your recurring dreams, but lucky for all adult males, she actually does tend to pets in real life.

It’s probably difficult, but if you can see past her looks, yo u’ll find that this exotic beauty is more than qualified to keep ‘Fido,’ ‘Spike,’ or whatever your pet’s name is in good health just by her educational history which includes degrees from Arizona State University, Washington State University, and Ross University (located in the West Indies). It’s pretty safe to say that she is capable of making a man drool faster than his four-legged companion.

Whenever she’s not taking care of animals, you can catch the lovely Latina who’s measurements are 36-27-41 posing for the camera. But if that’s not enough smarts and sexually for you, then you’ll definitely have a lot of trouble keeping up her because she’s also into running, weight lifting, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, water skiing, and snow skiing.

For right now, the only man in her life is her Rottweiler named Tabu, but if you play it smart, she might schedule you in for an appointment…. At her clinic where she’ll make sure that your pet is well taken care of that is. And as for you on the other hand, you’re on your own.

Where are you originally from?

I’m originally from Phoenix, Arizona.

How were you like when you were growing up? Were you a girly-girl or a tomboy?

I was such a tomboy! I played all the boy sports and watched all the boy cartoons like He-Man and Thundercats. [Laughs]

[Laughing] What were you doing before you really got your feet wet in the modeling business?

Well I was going to med school to become a Veterinarian, that’s actually how I got started. I went to school in the Caribbean and I was on the beach studying when a photographer approached me.

What do you prefer more, print work or music videos?

I have yet to do a music video so for now I’m going to have to say print work.

Have you had any negative experiences in modeling so far?

Not at all, I’ve been pretty lucky. And I’ve had great experiences with everyone I’ve worked with thus far.

Have you found it tough to standout in such a competitive industry?

It is tough to standout, but I think the biggest thing that makes me stand out is being a curvy Latina who also happens to be a doctor.

Speaking of you being so curvaceous, do you think that’s hurt you or helped you in this business?

Definitely helped and I’m not complaining one bit. [Laughing] I don’t think that photographer would have ever approached me on the beach if I hadn’t had the body I have. I also think being curvy is what has given me so many great opportunities.

What did your parents say when you told them you were going to be half naked in pictures?

I haven’t really involved my parents too much in my modeling hobby. They’ve seen pictures and know when I go do photo shoots, but other than that we have more important stuff to talk about.

Is there anything in particular you want to get out of the modeling industry?

Modeling is such a great hobby. I’m not a female who wants it to be my career; therefore I am really don’t want to get anything in particular out of it other than to have fun. Of course, I wouldn’t mind being in some of the top black men’s magazines or music videos, but if I never get there I’m content with just having fun with it.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m such an outdoors freak. I like to do everything from hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking, and camping to enjoying a day at the lake or park with my dogs.

Are you a couch potato, or a gym rat?

I’m definitely a mixture of both. I workout at least 5-6 days a week but don’t get it twisted, if I have a moment to just lay on the couch for a few hours I have no problem doing that. [Laughing]

[Laughs] Are you a takeout queen, or queen of your kitchen?

Queen of my kitchen. I prefer a home cooked meal to going out to eat any day.

What type of music are you into mostly?

Mostly dancehall and reggae, I do love me some rap and Hip-Hop though.

Is there anybody in the music industry you have a secret crush on?

Actually no, I stopped having crushes quite some time ago.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Five years from now, I’d like to have opened my own Veterinary Clinic particularly for low-income families who might not be able to afford proper healthcare to their pets.  Oh and I’d also like to be on some Vida Guerra status. [Laughing]

[Laughing] What’s the biggest misconception about you?

A lot of people look at me and think that I’m a b*tch and pretty stuck on myself, when in fact I’m the total opposite. I’m one of the nicest, sweetest people you may ever meet.  Most people will never know because they won’t take that chance to get to know me.

Are you single?

Yeah, I’m currently single.

What’s the fastest way to your heart?

Food! Haven’t you ever heard the line? The fastest way to a woman’s heart is through her stomach. [Laughing] I mean there’s more to it than that, but it’s a good start.

What’s your idea of a perfect date?

Dinner and a Blockbuster night.

What’s one of the funniest come-on lines a guy has thrown at you?

I’ve heard so many lines. They’re only funny because they are so corny, but none stick out as the funniest.

What turns you on about man?

Physically, a man that is in shape and has cute smile. Mentally, if he has real goals in life and a good sense of humor.
