NK, Russia Launch Rail, Port Renovations

North Korea’s state-run broadcaster says the North and Russia are cooperating to modernize railways linking Rajin and the Tumen River.

Chosun Central TV said Tuesday that the two nations have begun construction work to renovate the Rajin-Tumen railway as well as modernize the Rajin Port.

In particular, the report said Pyongyang and Moscow have fully agreed on all legal and technical matters for the repairs. Earlier in April, the two countries signed an accord addressing the renovation of the Rajin-Tumen railway and Rajin Port.
