According to Japanese news reports the cause of Ai Iijima’s 飯島愛 sudden and tragic death last December 24th was pneumonia. Her many fans can still remember her through her videos and TV appearances. Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai shot photos recently for her upcoming album in SoHo, New York, wowing spectators by posing in difficult positions while wearing a cool and classic jazz suit.

Jolin will release her new album next month. She recently flew to New York for private dance lessons and hopes to bring new moves to her next performance.

The pop diva also fulfilled a fashion dream this month. She opened in New York her first fashion line, “Seventy Two Changes”, named after her 2003 smash-hit album “See My 72 Changes/Magic”.

Drop-dead gorgeous Israeli model Bar Refaeli was just named Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition covergirl. To celebrate, she’ll be doing three days of non-stop press in New York and then she’ll fly in an airplane with her face plastered on the side to Las Vegas. The announcement was made on Dave Letterman’s show, and Refaeli did an interview with Time just after the announcement was made. She talks about the elections in Israel, her early modeling days (as a baby in a bib) and having braces. Here are some highlights:

Miley Cyrus' slant-eye pose slammed by Asians

DISNEY teen idol Miley Cyrus has been accused of taunting and mocking Asians by making slant-eye poses in a personal photograph with her friends.

A snapshot of Cyrus, 16 -best known as the star of the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana -and friends posing with an Asian friend and pulling their eyes sideways surfaced on the internet this week.

The OCA, a national organisation in the United States dedicated to advancing the social and political welfare of Asian Pacific Americans, called on the singer-actress to apologise.

The group said the image “falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent.”

British super group Oasis is set to play their first-ever gigs in China by adding Beijing and Shanghai to their current world tour.

The boys will rock the Beijing Capital Gymnasium on April 3 and the Shanghai Grand Stage on April 5. Ticket prices for the concerts range from 200 to 1600 yuan, with booking now available through Emma Ticketmaster on emma.cn
