DIRECTV launches first Filipino channel for women

Women TV viewers are a unique audience. We like to be entertained, taught, and inspired all while we cook, do the chores and sweep the floor. Multi-tasking is what we’re good at, and we like our TV to be as diversified. The only time we don’t allow TV is when the kids do their homework.

But Filipino women are even more interesting! On top of all the regular women’s shows like lifestyle, cooking, fashion and beauty, home, celebrities and entertainment, Filipino women love our daily dose of soap operas, or in the new term – telenovelas.

DIRECTV and caught that ticklish bone of the Filipino woman and launched GMA Life TV, a channel fully dedicated to the life and style of Filipino women, twenty-four seven. GMA Life TV has an international distribution but the audience is directed to the Filipino women in the US.

After her concert, (back last year!!) Geneva will start recording her album then go back to her better-half in the States. Then she’ll be back here in July to promote her album She also said that if ever she’s already in the States, that doesn’t mean that she’s tired of singing. It’s just that she’s also doing her role as a wife to KC and a mother to Heaven.

“Hopefully when I get back, I’ll do a bigger concert with a horn section and dancers. Now that would be exciting to do,” she stressed.
